Check the battery first

  1. Let the blades do the cutting instead of forcing the trimmer through the hedge.
  2. Use the correct part of the blade for the branch size recommended in the manual.
  3. Trim in steady passes rather than repeatedly jamming the blade into dense growth.

  5. Clear clippings regularly so they do not pack around the blade.

A battery that dies quickly in every condition may be worn out. If you have another manufacturer-approved battery from the same platform, compare runtime under similar conditions. Do not use an incompatible pack just because it fits the compartment.

The charger may also be involved if the battery never reaches a full charge, shows an error, or finishes charging unusually quickly. Check the manual for indicator meanings and inspect the charger cable and housing for damage.

Stop using the trimmer and seek qualified service if you notice burning smells, smoke, sparking, repeated electrical cutouts, damaged wiring, or a battery that becomes abnormally hot. Do not open a lithium-ion battery pack or attempt cell-level repairs.

Replace the battery when it is damaged, no longer holds enough charge for the work, or has clearly lost capacity after normal charging and blade checks. Choose an exact compatible replacement rather than relying only on voltage or physical fit.

A replacement trimmer may make more sense when the battery is healthy but the motor struggles even with clean, lubricated blades, or when the tool repeatedly overheats and cuts out.
